Donny, my new one is still in the box it came in. I've spent enough time on one belonging to a friend of mine to know it isn't for me.

Not interested in ANY Yamaha. I am thinking of setting it up in the warehouse, along with other equipment I don't use (Hammond M. Rhodes, Clavinova, etc.). If I change my mind this week, I'll let you know. Would like it to go to someone I know if I decide to get rid of it.

Hope you're successful in finding one.

Russ

The more things change, the more things stay the same...

Let the pool begin. It's gone 12 weeks after he gets it.

Any takers?

(How long did you keep the first one, Donny?)

12 weeks..that would make the G70 the champion..

Actually Donny dumped the G70 before because of the weight with his multi scheduled jobs everyday,,,....Only soon to find out after owning the rest of the crop[that is crop not crap]..that there is a reason the G70 weighed more..Quality..

So he has realized..hey it is time to get a real durable board that does many things well...and stop the compromising..

I'm happy with my E-60, but if I were to consider another keyboard it would also be another G-70. It's a great board and on a second time around I think I could psych myself into handling the weight and overlooking my issues with the drawbars sounds. Not having any Korg keyboards to try, I'd probably also consider a PA2x if I could get one at a G-70 price.

And, Fran, if you believe this will be the end of Donny's 'roaming', you simply don't know him as well as you think you do!

But I agree... 12 weeks is a little optimistic. The sensible money will be on 8...

Fran, I don't know that 'durability' has got a lot to do with it. Come on now, we all know that donny's winds of change will be more influenced by some internal feature or other.

I'm going with Diki's 8-week secenario.

I'm not sure now whether or not donny is more famous for his musical abilities or his gear instabilities.

It's all rather entertaiing, though - and the man is an entertainer. Right, donny?

Renig right you are.....talent never changes....if people wouldn't worry about what Im playing so much and worry about how they themselves play or entertain this would be a better world.....Ive gone out giggin with many different boards in 40 years so what?
let me give you a tip...dont bet your money on my entertaining value or you'll be crying along with diki when you lose

Cocky? No....Just confident in my abilities!

I have a CD Donny recorded called "Swinging with the Big Bands" IMHO the guy has got talent. The cut from the CD "Quando Quando, Quando" done as a duo with his daugher is terrific. Very reminiscent of Michael Buble and Nelly Furtado's version. I think I could give Donny a $299 Casio and he'd still be booked solid. Go get 'em Donny enjoy your G70.
